D60, anyone?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Canon EOS FAQ forum : One Thread

I haven't seen any reports on this forum about the D60 from anyone who has used one. I am starting to think about adding a digital body to my EOS system. Given the prices and features of what's available, the D-60 seems like the way to go. Has anyone here used one? What do you think about handling, placement of controls, general ease of use, compatability with EF lenses, other features, etc.?

I got mine about 3 weeks ago. Excellent image quality (my first 8" x 10" shot at ISO 400, looks better than 35MM Reala prints), handles like a good midrange consumer grade EOS, very well constructed, small image in viewfinder, lousy low light AF (my Elan II is much better, with or without its assist light), very quiet.

There is also a link at the top of the page for discusions which will bring you to some forums. Some of the people who post use this camera and also post pictures taken with them. Mike ps. here is a link to the main site

The Canon D60 renders beautiful pictures, dead-on color and sharpness in high-jpeg what is awesome. No complaints. I'm shooting most with the Canon 24-85 lense, but also have the 75-300 IS lense as well. for $2200 you cannot beat it!
