Summer Institute @ Museum of Natural History

There will be a 5-day institute this summer at the American Museum of Natural History/Rose Center for the Earth and Space Sciences, August 12th-16th, 2002. Earn 3 credits in science for free or a receive a $500 honorarium. You will also receive an Astronomy Kit (ARIES) to implement in your classroom next year. This institute is only for middle school science teachers in districts 3, 5, & 6.

Participants will receive: --3 Free science credits OR a $500 Honorarium --Yearlong Family Membership to the Museum --Teacher’s Guide for the ARIES Moon and Stars Curriculum --Unlimited class visits to the Museum and Rose Center --Access to the Astrophysics Moveable Museum

Participants will commit to: --Implementing the Moon and Stars curriculum in the Fall --Participating in follow-up after school workshops at the museum in the fall.
