Has anyone on here heard of Leeds Consultancy or Rapid Forwarding or if there is a connection as I received a delivery card from Rapid Forwarding addressed to my old address (mail is redirected) then some time later a letter from Leeds Consultancy arrived at my new address stating that I owe a utility company an amount of money! is this practice legal? Am I jumping the gun assuming that they are connected how can I found out?

Rapid Forwarding are a familiar name and I see someone has linked Leeds Consultancy, which is a new name to me, with them.

If you *do* owe a utility company money then this site is not really for you because the site is specifically focused on people who want to know how to deal with:

a) mortgage shortfall claims from lenders and/or insurers who mis- sold Mortgage Indemnity Guarantees, and/or

b) mortgage shortfall claims from lenders and/or insurers who look as though they undersold or mishandled repossession sales and who are refusing to supply adequate evidence of their actions, and/or

c) being defamed or otherwise damaged by users/members of the Credit Industry Fraud Avoidance System (CIFAS) and allied organisations.

This site does not condone debt evasion as such.

Yes they are connected. Leeds Consultancy is a debt collector, the parcel/letter card is standard practice to establish current whereabouts. Legal but sneaky.

Have you got any outstanding debts your trying to avoid ?

Will you be making contact then ?

Try a search on the post code in google, there are a few companies there, but the one with most hists is http://www.1stlocate.co.uk/ who offer a host of services including debt purchasing, people location and other such things.

I'm just a bit annoyed at having to phone them several times to be lied to, all at my own expense I might add - especially when they won't even be looking for me!

/me feels a letter of complaint coming on

I understand that debt evasion is not what this site is about, but thanks for confirming my suspicions. Rapid Forwarding UK won't be getting a call from me then!
