34mm Drop in Filters for Canon FD300 F4.0 Polarizer?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Canon FD : One Thread

Looking to find a Polarizer for a Canon FD300 F4.0 The lens has threads for a filter, but does not state filter size. Or do I have to find a 34mm Drop in Polarizer? Were these even made by Canon?

Having trouble finding drop in filters, please help!!

Thanks Frank M.

Canon made only normal (plain), UV, Sky, red, yellow and a couple of NDs for the mirror lens. They also made a gel holder. No polarizer though. I see extraordinary prices on ebay for any of these filters.

I'm slowly working on a holder for 35.5 mm filters based on the dimensions of the gel holder. If I work out the bugs you'd be able to use any filter that would fit. I think I can make the polarizers adjustable from the outside, just like the EOS version.

Drop me a line if you're interested.

Cheers,

Duane
