Just received 28-105 Canon lenses and found couple odd things. 1. Some play in the barrel sections, not a big but noticeable (less then 1mm in radial direction). 2. Light metering is different (1/2 stop) compare to the 50mm f1.8 Canon lenses. I pointed both lenses onto the wall under the same condition (zoom was at 50mm). 3. Scale shows different distance for the same object from the same position at different focal lengths. For example, 6m for 100mm (almost correct) and 4m for 30mm. Is this normal for zoom lenses and this model? Thank you for help.
