Roberto:

Sign up for a PayPal account http://www.paypal.com. They work great, but do charge a 3% tranaction fee to the recipient. I prefer them to any other form of payment including cashier's checks or direct bank wire transfer.

Cheers,

payment is easy. if you go to www.x.com, you can set up a paypal account for free, and people can send money directly into your banck account. with bid pay, you get a money order. you can also just ask people to send you postal money orders or do bank wire transfers. i have sold (and bought )=:) hundreds of things on ebay with no problems.

Here's Chatterton's #'s - Tel - 253-549-7900 Fax - 253-549-7771

I've bought both Leica and Hasselblad items from Don and have always considered his selling prices and grading very fair..but I have never sold to him. It would be interesting to see the "other side of the coin"..If you mcan't find a buyer here or on E bay and go with him, let everyone know with a posting if you think his buying prices are fair....

Good Luck, FWB

P.S. I hope you don't have to sell your stuff for financial reasons. Leica goodies should be used and then passed down to deserving family members or friends.

The only reason to sell to a dealer is the convenience; pricewise, it's usually a rip-off (for you, that is). I think most will only give you around 60% of what your gear is worth on the open market (i.e., what they would sell your stuff for).

Chris

Some good ones will allow you to sell on commission - they take 20-30% of the cut. This works too, if you are in a professional-heavy or Leicaphile town like NYC. The store covers warranty, but they pay you nothing until it is sold. I have sold a good few things this way.

Rich Pinto at Photo Village in NYC takes consignments at 10% He will know exactly how to price your gear, and that's the best deal around if you want to just ship someone the gear and wait for sales. The eBay route will probably net you more, but it's more of a hassle with photographing, posting, responding to inquiry, etc. From Rich's recent posting to the Rollei group:

"Hi Folks,

I accept consignment pieces of prime photo gear for 10% commission...which makes me one of the cheapest ways to sell gear...and most certainly the easiest.

Please email or call (646) 613-1107 for more info. or if you are in NYC I'm located in SoHo and appreciate all visits...www.photovillage.com."

I have no connection with Rich, but have purchased many items from him. I've never heard a bad word about him.

Thank´s for help fellows, as you know my main problem is to live in Mexico, payments are slow and expensive to get here, and what I want is a oneshot fair deal with one person to take care of all my stock, and recive back what I need. I´ll try and see all your recomendations. Thanks again.

Roberto, Should you have difficulty selling the whole lot to one dealer/person, I may be interested in the Pre ASPH 35/1.4 depending on condition. Do you have the round metal hood for it? Which model is the Hasselblad 150/4?... C, CF,or CFi?
