Danny Murphy has been injured in training. Inital fears that he had broken his leg were unfounded, but he is still to have a bone scan to assess the damage.

Right now England have only 3 fit m/f players - Scholes, Cole and Hargreaves - with 3 under treatment - Becks, Dyer and Butt and not certain to be available for the Sweden match!

Scholes, Hargreaves, Beckham and Dyer isn't too bad a starting line up.

If Dyer isn't ready, Ashley Cole could play at left wing, which to be honest is the only place he can play as he is a liability in defence.

There are suggestions that David Dunn is to be put on standby for Danny Murphy.

Dunn was bloody useless captaining the U-21's tonight in the 3-1 defeat by Portugal that has put them out of the U- 21 European Championship - if we have to play him in our m/f in the WC we've got nee chance. To be honest, I'd rather see Frank Lumpolard coming into the squad.
