Nah - even without his well documentated legal problems he's not what we need at the minute. We already have the likes of Solano, Robert and Dyer who offer a similar attcking threat. I would prefer to go for a more defensively oriented midfielder, Barry Ferguson say.

He's an odious little turd. However, there'll be no shortage of takers.

A midfield dynamo on his day, all other days a mindless, uneducated thug. It'll take a brave man to bring him to his club, with all the baggage that will follow as well as the civil suit looming over his head. So how much is a troubled non international player going for these days?

Not a great way to pay back Leeds who have stuck by him

No, we don't want him! He's a f***ing rat.

He will go to one of three clubs IMHO:

Man City - they'll buy anyone on big wages just to improve their profile

Sunderland - maybe the wages are high, but he'd be loved by Reid

Blackburn - Souness and Bowyer - a match made in heaven (or hell)

I can see him going to man city, can't see him going to either the makems or blackburn since it'd be out of their price range (I guess leeds offered him 40K a week) Liverpool might sign him just so nobody else will. I can see him going to someone like spurs, celtic or rangers.

I was thinking he may accept less money if he moved on as he would be more or less guaranteed a starting place, and to be honest they might not want to pay £40k pw for what could turn into a huge liability for them.

Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool spring to mind as possibles.

5Live reckon Arsenal and Liverpool are interested. A fee of £15m is being mentioned!

£15m????

A little bit too much considering his recent history.

Where would he fit in at Arsenal or Liverpool? A midfield of Vieira and Ljungberg seems better at the Arse and Liverpool have their new £4m Frenchman to play alongside Gerrard - would he move to become a squad player?

On a sort of unrelated note, did anyone know that collectively, Liverpool's back five (ie back 4 plus goalkeeper) have missed something like 8 or 9 league games all season. I'm not surprised their defence is so tight when they play together so often.

Bowyer would probably play wide right for either Arsenal or Liverpool - not sure where that would leave Ljundberg mind.

If we wait long enough maybe we might get him on a free? Don't laugh - it could happen.

Howy jonno, thats as likely as us being knocked out of the CL in the qualifyers and only winning 2 away games all season!
