Assuming everything is up to spec and calibrated properly what is the longest lens that can be accurately focused using the rangefinder on a Linhof Super Technika V 23 ...180, 210 240?

180mm. Current cam is for 65mm/100mm/180mm

Cams have been available to be ground for

53/80/180 53/100/180 as well as the 65/100/180.

Lenses as long as 360mm can be focused by ground glass to infinity but not all will physically fit onto the camera.

If one had a mismatched set. say a 65/80 and 180 they woould need 2 cams. One for the 65 and 180mm and one for the 80mm.

On the 45 each cam is a single focal length rather then tri-loped so mixing a range of cammed lenses is easier and a greater range is possible.

I have a Linhof 23 Technika IV that came cammed for a 240 Tele-Arton. The lens serial # is inscribed on the cam so this is a factory match and the rangefinder works well, though I rarely use it that way.

If you need a custom lens cammed, call Marflex who does the servicing for HP marketing (US distributors of Linhof) and see if they can do it.

Apparently that was then This is now and the logest cam the factory supplies for a 23 Technika is a 180 combination.

And, yes, I double checked with Martin as well as checking the latest factory info.

Yes, they told me that the 180 is the largest cam for the V 23 when I took my recently purchased '82 vintage V 23 (to Marflex) for a CLA this week. I also found out that distance scales are only available for the 180, 100, and 65. Thanks for the responses.
