Looking for a value on my Minolta AL-s

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Camera Equipment : One Thread

My grandfather died back in 1970 and I have been hauling his photography equipment around with me, unused, ever since. I am now trying to divest myself of this stuff and I'm having a hard time placing a value on one of the pieces. It's a Minolta AL-s camera with the original carrying case and strap all in excellent condition. The lens is clear and unscratched. The numbers on the lens are 1:1.8 f=40mm and it says ROKKOR-QF if that means anything to anyone. If anyone could provide me with some compass here as to value, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks! Kelle

Check out: http://www.photographics.com/ they have a used phot equipment price guide. Another option is to look at KEH or B&H Photo's websites. They both have used equipment for sale listed on their website to compare prices with. And there is always ebay. Just search their completed auctions for the same stuff as you have.
