Why can't i copy a vcd to my harddrive, and burn it and still have it work in my DVD player? If you know how I can burn back-up copies of my vcd's, please e-mail me instructing me how. Thanks.

Make sure you're copying onto a CD-RW and not a CD-R. Not many DVD players will play a CD-R but most of them will play a CD-RW.

If you burn the files directly from you harddrive, the format of the disk may be of a data CD and not in VCD format. Use Nero to burn in VCD format using an MPEG or make a direct copy of the CD.

You need to make a CD copy, not just coping the files from the VCD to the CDR. If you need to extract the mpgs from the VCD i would recomend using ISOBuster. Hope this helps
