I have to announce my retirement from the Team Pick and Average competition. With that Nick Raphael doing it next season he will be altering my team or saying I didn't get my entry in on time or something like that, so to save myself the heartache I will retire.

Many congratulations Gus on winning the "Averages League". I have always believed this was the more meaningful competition here.

I hope you haven't been too overwhelmed by all the other messages of congratulation on your success from your fellow competitors - almost as many as I got last season, actually. ;o{)

Thank you clarky, I was just sitting here working my way through the threads and it dawned on me that I had not passed on my congratulations to you! My humble apology. I was more concerned this morning with the thank you to Geordie.

I do not see much difference in the tables myself. I was gutted to have missed the 3 games though! Personally I am pleased because of my location it was hard to wait for the latest news as I would have to be able to post at 0700 on a Sat Morning so after reading all the overnight press I would have to log on at about 0500 to do this!

I am seriously deeply honoured to have done so well in such good company, exept the greatest satisfaction was to beat Bloater and Nick Raphael!

I'm thinking of going back through the season's picks and illiminating spelling mistakes etc.. so O'Brian would get 0 points as would Dabz, Nobby etc..
