Frontier House and community

I have been watching and rewatching the frontier house. I have been so fascinated with this show. That television program told us a great deal more than what it was like to live on the frontier. It was an actual physical picture of what our society has lost, and how little we have gained. I imagine many people were sitting in their living rooms moaning with the characters about how hard life was on the frontier. Nevertheless, the characters in this story, even the most self absorbed ones were changed by the experience. We should ALL be frightened by what was revealed about modern humanity in this simple experiment, yet I doubt it will change us enough to matter.

Me too. I wonder if they sell the tapes. I look it up and if they do I'll let ya know. Debbie

At the end of the shows they had an add for selling the tapes. I would like to see a similar show that went more in depth. I would like to see some of the deeper workings of the farms. I do think that most of the people would have done better.
