Last night and again now as I logged on I have lost most of the graphics on the 'puter.

All I get on most sites are the little boxes with the three coloured shapes in them that Rik used to post and called them pictures.

Which browser do you use? Dunno if that makes any difference. If you have "the other available", can you try that and see if the pictures re-appear?

I'm not a techy, but are you sure the prefs on the browser aren't set to text only, ie no pics?

Myst, I had pictures on Wednesday, but not on Thursday or today. I have changed nothing.

When I go to a site if I right click on a picture then click on "show picture" the picture appears.

try deleting your cache. I had the exact same problem a few days ago. Deleting the cache should force a reload. It may be that you have indexed items in your cache that are duff.

It may also be that the proxy server you use has cached duff info (not AOL are you ... cos they're usually crap!).

sounds like your proxy server to me... there's an option in Temporary Internet Files... to check on every page load. Could try that... or... just give up ;-(

Tools --- Internet Options -- Advanced Tab -- Multimedia Section
Verify that the Show Pictures option is checked.
