I was reading about this equation drawn up by this University, which calculates when a manager should be sacked (or not). It basically comes up with an average no. of points that a manager should be getting as a guide. The calculation of the no. of points is weighted by a honeymoon period and most recent form, amongst other things. What we now need is for Softie to run the fomula on Dalglish and Gullit and see when we should have sacked them (or if we should have sacked them). :-)
