hey Meghna You can use TMPGEnc a shareware download(http://www.tmpgenc.net/) to convert files from AVI to MPG. Pls do let me know of an extensive tutorial on converting flash files to VCD.

well, TMPeng doesnt support every codec. That could be the problem. Try asking macromedia.com if they know a method to convert the flash directly to avi.

Good Luck.......

Swish supports AVI export.

If you use Flash MX you can use the Export Movie setting under the File menu to convert to AVI's. From there you will need some other software to take your AVI to MPEG. Good Luck. Previous versions of Flash will not export to AVI format.

I had this problem and someone above said to use "Export Movie" I used this advice and I published a flash (fla) file as an AVI.

When you click on "Export Movie" a save box comes up like it does when you click "Save Target As" but when choosing "Export Movie" instead you can change the file type to AVI aswell as others.

In such cases I'm using Flash To Video Encoder. All functions that I need, good video quality & the opportunity to operate on Flash during the process of conversion. http://www.geovid.com/Flash_To_Video_Encoder/
