Sometimes when shooting with my new M7 i get a red LED light dot flashing under the red dot for AE lock in the vieuwfinder Does anybody know what this means, I have not been able to find the explanation in the manual thanks for your help

No worry. The flashing lower red dot means one of three things: 1) there is no film in the camera. 2) You set an ISO speed different from what the DX coding reads (i.e. you don't set the film speed indicator at the back of the camera on DX, and set a speed that is different from what the DX coding on the canister says. You might want to do that if you want to push or pull a film for instance, like shoot it at 320 ISO instead of its claimed regular 400.) 3) You set an exposure compensation. That's all there is to it. It's a good reminder, but I personally find the flashing a bit annoying. A fixed dot would have been enough. Have fun.

And this is covered in the manual if you would read it.

Hey, «Somebodoy», no need to play smart and get nasty.
