Changing Lightbulbs in Cyberspace

Q: How many people does it take to change a light bulb in cyberspace?

Answer:

14 to share similar experiences of changing light bulbs and how the light bulb could have been changed differently.

7 to caution about the dangers of changing light bulbs.

27 to point out spelling/grammar errors in posts about changing light bulbs.

53 to flame the spell checkers.

306 to debate which method of changing light bulbs is superior, where to buy the best light bulbs, what brands of light bulb work best for this technique, and what brands are faulty.

27 to post URLs where one can see examples of different light bulbs.

14 to post that the URLs were posted incorrectly and to post corrected URLs. 3 to post about links they found from the URLs that are relevant to this list, which makes light bulbs relevant to this list.

ROTFL. I love it . If we can't laugh at ourselves, who can we chuckle at? I use to ask "How many computer programmers does it take to change a lightbulb? Don't know, its never been done. They always call a diagnostic evaluation meeting that deduces its a hardware problem and issue a work order to the technicians ".

Good one bj! You should post it over on CS just because, then again you don't want to get thier flames going again. Bu really it would be funny to do.

Susan,

What are you thinking "fan the flames"? That would cause a backdraft and "super fire" that would send the server into meltdown :>)

bj, post it over there as they obviously need something to do with their life.

Jay, my hope would be that maybe they would see themselves and laugh. Heaven forbid that they should get embarasses and feel shamed.

naw, i try to keep my life relatively 'vanilla', outside forces do enough to make it 'rocky road'.

so i'll not be holding up mirrors to the populace to see if they laugh or stone me. btw. i see myself in the joke, i'm one of the 306. ;)

Weeeeeeeeell, I DID share this....couldn't resist. Course it was to a pretty laid back, BUT sometimes "tetchy" crowd...thus the obvious pertinence. And ooooh yes, I'm definately guilty myself!! ;) But, you gotta laugh....

...they all sure did, in fact I think the thread has about...well lets see, posted it yesterday afternoon, and now 38 replies...lol

Such a bunch of dramatic satirists...and obviously no lives! hehe!
