Can't find it in any word source to which I have access, so please somebody, what does 'brianless' mean ? :-{E}

Answers

Means being without, or devoid of a Brian. Presumably.

Oxford English Dictionary definition is - stupid, foolish. (:o)

You stupid, foolish person, Gal ;-)

That would be the logical assumption Jonno, but there has to be a much more subtle meaning over which the scholars have been mulleting over the centuries to discover the most confusing terminology in which to record the meaning to ensure the maximum number of the surfery feel the maximum of brianlessness.

So what you're saying Gal, is that it's another of these redundant words we could probably do without ?

No way. I think it's 'brainless' that should be scrapped, if anything. I quite like the ring to 'brianless'. In fact, that's how cockerknees say 'brainless' anyway. Just aboot.

I am Brianless and so is my wife...

Don't you think you should ask Brian first Bobby?

Glad nobody appears to have noticed my sly dig at those who take advantage of the huges rollers off the coast of Hawaii, knowing how sensitive some of us are to scurrilous innuendo.

I would also include the serfery among those too brianless to avoid being confused by the definition mulleted over for centuries.

I would guess that there is ever increasing evidence of brianlessness in today's population. However, we are still some way away from a bryanless society. In fact there is a surfeit. Is this what you where refering to, Pit Bill?

There was a very nice story on R4 the other day about a dyslexic kid called Brian who managed to call himself "Brain" on all the work he handed in.

The Mackems were tragically rendered Brianless by the injury to star striker Mr Clough on Boxing Day 1963 or thereabouts.

If I had a brian brain I could see where this debate is heading. Or maybe not.

A brain/brian is the last thing you need to keep up with this Jonno, in fact it's a most decided disadvantage. :-{E}

Would that be a surfeit of surfery or a surfeit of serfery to which you refer Master Miller ? There are two other alternatives I shall hold in reserve until the moment is opportune. It hate to overtax anyone's brian.

Hope my inadvertent use of 'It' rather than 'I'd' hasn't given anybody offense. I'd never ceases to amaze me the difference one or two characters can make . Difference to what, mind, escapes me. :-{E}

Overtaxing brians seems a tad harsh, although somebody has to pay for healthcare I suppose (especially mental healthcare). If we overtax them, we will be oncouraging the briandrain to the US.

"mind, escapes me"

Yes, I know what you mean ... that's a definition of brianless is it not?

I'm feeling briandead after reading this lot. Whose brianchild was this thread anyway? Obviously the result of a brianstorm. Why are we being brianwashed with this. If anyone knows I'd like to pick their brians on the subject.

I`m not playing anymore....I`m going away to sulk! (;o| Hmph!

-- Anonymous, May 07, 2002

Must you keep up this ceaseless braiyan, Jonno, it's duane my brian ian ? :-{E}

-- Anonymous, May 07, 2002

Incidentally, it would have been 'huge' if there'd only been one roller.

Since 'rollers' was used specifically, 'huges' was obviously the appropriate plural adjective in this case.

Did somebody just say 'Hoy a mat ower 'im' ? :-{E}

-- Anonymous, May 07, 2002
