Sunpak 522 w/ CA-5 Remote Sensor use on Canon Elan 7E QD

I have a Sunpak 522 w/ CA-5 remote sensor. I was wondering if I can use it with my Canon Elan 7E without frying my camera? I read not to use any flash with a trigger volgate greater than 6V. I need to check what the trigger voltage is at the CA-5 sensor. Anyone have any experience with this setup?

I have checked the sync trigger voltage on my 522 and it was way too high for a Canon EOS camera. I don't have the remote sensor with it, but I doubt that this would change the voltage. I suspect that the same trigger circuit just gets passed through the CA-5.

In any case, you always need to check your unit yourself, since specifications often change during the manufacturing life of a flash unit. Just because my 522 reads 24 volts doesn't mean yours won't read 240 volts. :~))
