greenspun.com : LUSENET : Unofficial Newcastle United Football Club BBS : One Thread

For those of you who haven't got tickets for the Southampton game and are wondering what to do with yourselves - why not take a trip to Villa Park and support Whitley Bay in the final of the FA Vase against a bunch of jam makers from Essex. It's cheap, you'll be supporting another branch of the Geordie nation, your kids can get in for a quid and it gets you all out of the house.

See you there?

W/Bay will be at SJP on Tues in order to get tips and advice from Bobby Robson before the match. They were at the Stade de Merdé earlier today, in a publicity stunt which is only likely going to confuse them.
I wish them well.

I'm told the stuff at SJP with Sir Bobby giving Andy Gowens a few tips was on north east telly tonight. Did anyone see it?

Of course what NUFC did was simple honest charity and not a publicity stunt, Gibbo. Likewise loaning the team coach to Tow Law Town.

If I wasn't going to Soton I'd be at Villa, Howay the Bay. Who remembers our last run when beat the mighty Preston at Hillheads then lost narrowly at Rochdale in the 4th round of the FA Cup?

Bobby told their manager not to put black polish on white boots. Darned near soiled myself.

Preston was the second round, DSS, the Rochdale was the third. I thought we'd get the Toon at Hillheads and we got blinkin Rochdale away. I went though - they lost one nowt.
