Great book. It is one of the best published in recent years (the one I prefer maybe together with Immediate family by Sally Mann). Michael Ackerman uses all sort of cameras, but doesn't pay much attention to the quality of lenses. From what is seen in the book it seems most of it is medium format. It is a good example of how a large black and white negative and a creative photographer can make discussions about lenses meaningless (but only in theory, of course!).
