I'm a beginner in making VCD's and here is what happened. I was using TMPG to convert a movie from AVI to MPEG-1. The movie looked allright in Windows Mediaplayer and I also didn't notice anything special while i was splitting the movie in TMPG. But the final result was a streched movie. I've tried different Size and Aspect ratios. /Mike

i had same problem that's why i now use avi2vcd. i can't get the TMPgenc to it's default settings, as soon as i tried different settings i cant get them back to the way they were and my video comes out stretched.

just go to "other settings" while u do step 2/5 (wizzard) then change to advanced settings and choose "full screen (keep aspect ratio)" this way u'll manage!!!
