It's 7-55 pm as I pen this missive to you from the "Eagles Lair" at my SJP address in Kenton Bar. I've just been watching 7 hot air balloons go past the window, 3 of them at a critically low altitude. In fact two of them have now landed (intentionally or not I cannot say) near Kingston Park. No way a mountain rescue team will go in there - perhaps Steph can organise a rescue mission?

The others seem to have made it to Westerhope or beyond although only one had any altitude to speak of, as they disappear from view. Well if anyone has any updates on this story from the local media, I'll be pleased to know what these people are up to. Their flight path seems dangerously close to the airport IMHO!

I'm sure the bbs could put together a good balloon team with all the hot air we generate here.

Apparently there is a hot air balloon festival or summat at Gosforth Park this weekend. Saw a bit on the local news.
