FA Cup Final Saturday

......... (yawn) and who really gives a rats? Not pre-match tension, nor even passing interest. No Twin Towers; no one making @rses of themselves on Wembley Way. What on earth has happened to the FAC Final?

Call me a heathen, but I'm still undecided as to whether to watch it or the Scottish Cup Final! Celtic v Rangers actually has more appeal to me - it will be a more competitive game and undoubtedly a better atmosphere. When push comes to shove, the traditionalist in me will probably keep me in line, but ........(yawn - scratch - yawn).

I was thinking of painting the spare room - just so I could watch it dry.

Damn - I've got no paint, so I decided to watch Sly Sports 2 with Shearer on the panel. Great line, when they were discussing "that" goal from Bergkamp inthe league at SJP. Presenter: "Alan, you were a lot closer than us. Did he intend it?"

Shearer: "Well, I was a lot closer than Nicos Dabizas."

Ouch! Nice one Alan. Good job Dabs said he wouldn't watch the pre-match build-up!

I can't believe that that cheating little prick Ashley Cole is deemed to be an acceptable candidate to represent England. 3 more times today he was poleaxed by imaginary blows from invisible fists and "came around" again clutching his throat. Surely there has to be something better than this?

Got to agree Softie - there is something particularly unsavoury, and typically Arsenal about he blerk. Actually, I've had a premonition that a howler from this guy costs us our progression in the WC.

As for the FAC Final - 4 posts on the Match Thread just about sums it up! Crap, boring game. Chelsea were the better team throughout, but were beaten by two superb strikes. My distaste for Arsenal has grown to the point where I desperately want ManU to beat them on Wednesday night. @rses!

should have watched the Old Firm game, so British, so vibrant, so much atmosphere, so perfect, so wich we'd managed to get Lovenkrads and how nice Ferguson would be to have in midfield, or Balde as centre half

So, I made the right decision to go to the bank and run errands this morning rather than order the ppv of this game? ;-)

Opted for the Scottish final and was taken aback by the atmosphere. Cracking game with goals and passion. Switched to the English final for updates and found the place like a morgue in comparison!

I was a bit disappointed in the Celtic fans leaving the ground before their team received their medals or was it to much for them handle?
