I purchased a Photo of the Provisional Ambulance Co. A Presidio of S.F. Cal. July 1971 signed by J.D. Givens. Do you know what if may be worth, or who I can take it to for Appraisal and authenticity clarification?

Answers

J.D. Givens was the Presidio's civilian 'post photographer' from 1899 to 1933. Most likely, the photo you have was taken in 1921, not 1971. (His writing was sometimes bad.) Depending on size and condition, Givens photos generally go for about $3 to $25 on eBay.
