Just wondered how the regular players are going?

I'm in my 4th season with Whitley Bay (I editted the database so they started in the conference so I could be them!)

I'm top of the 1st division at the moment with this team...

Rhys Evans
Aaron Hughes - Steve Caldwell - Chedric Seedorf
Luis Enrique - Kennedy Bakircioglu - Kim Kallstrom - Djalminha
Milan Baros
Lomana Lua-Lua - Matthew Engele

It's these sorts of games with lower league clubs that I'm starting to love :) Oh yeah, NUFC are currently managed by David O'Leary!

Mind, I've had to watch my pennies with this team and most of the players were picked up on the cheap/out of contract!

Hillheads is now up to a massive 8800 capacity! I've still not won anything apart from the FA Vase thingy a couple of years ago, although I did reach the 1/4 finals of the FA Cup only to be stuffed off Liverpool! Premiership here we come for Titley Bay though!

Still doing pretty well, now at 2010 with Barnsley after taking them into the Premiership at first attempt.

My starting team now is:

Sebastian Frey

Jurgen Colin - Fabio Cannovaro - Walter Samuel - Wilfried Bouma

Matthew Christensen - Andres D'Alessandro - Carl Barrowclough - Joe Cole

Cherno Samba - Rory Fallon

On the bench I have Kieron Dyer, some Greek right back whose name I can't spell, Damien Duff, Sixto Peralta, Jermaine Jenas, Tim Cahill and a few others. The top players get unhappy if the squad isn't really deep and strong.

My defence is the strong point of the team to be honest, although the strike force is worth over £40m. I'v conceded only 8 goals in 29 games which is pretty good going.

I agree about the lower league games, they are great fun, I remember taking Brighton to the brink of the Premiership on 97/97 but bought the new version just before I did it.

I got seven seasons in and resigned as Toon manager after completing the double double. Kept failing in the CL - never got beyond the semis - though won the UEFA and World Club Cups early on. The WCC is great because there's only ever one other decent team in it and the prize money's £6m. And it takes the place of pre-season friendlies. Anyway, my team when I retired:
.....................Given .........Klompe...O'Brien/Boumsong....Hofland ..van der Meyde..Ferguson...van Bommell...Gallardo ......................Dyer ................Crespo...Carew/Cisse

I'm sure I've got another great striker but I've forgotten who. It's a few weeks since I played.

I was manager for Fiorentina, Juventus and Real Madrid (where I won the league with Shearer in the team) before I joined the Toon after I think 7 or 8 years. They had just went down in Div 1. The transfer kitty was pretty large and I also sold a couple of players, like Ameobi, he went to Chelsea where he has scored 20+ goals every season. I dont mind, they payed me well.

We won Div 1 and the FA-cup the first season. The next I won the FA cup again but also the league, must be some sort of record? =)
I have now won the FA cup every year but one, two CL, two or three League Cups and the WCC two times. Starting lineup is:
Gill Falcone van Dijk Clayton Grossi
Rhodes Gerrard Briggs Robben
Alan Smith Ross Forbes

This summer I sold Crespo and Kluivert who has been with me a three or four years and has scored a looot of goals. Kluivert has also scored 91 goals in 160+ internationals. Pretty impressive.

Rory Fallon (in my team) was a 17 year old promising reserve player at Barnsley when I started, but he had good shooting, strength, work rate (ie all the important ones) so I started playing him all the time.

He is currently on 39 goals for England in just 5 appearances. Strangely enough, in other games I have bought him he hasn't had the same impact.

Massimo Donati was my best player, cost £20m aged 23 and was worth £8m at the time. He became a world class player, scoring 28 goals from midfield in one season and eventually was worth nearly £30m. His contract became unprotected and I didn't realise, and he left for Milan for a £12m fee set by tribunal. Bastards, he has taken years to replace.

39 goals in 5 appearances for England? The lad has scored 7.8 goals per match. Who has England played against?

Sorry 58 appearances, missed the vital 8 out there :)
