Wow that was fast!! - Nice images. I wanted to photograph the event as well, but was a bit scared of rioting breaking out, plus I had to go to work as well!

I saw the coverage on the news, at one point there was more photographers than protesters and they all seemed to be getting in the way of the police. I say just water-cannon anyone who hasn't got a press card. Tear gas, now there's a great way of teaching those looney left wing hippies a lesson, free the streets my arse, do they want us all to ride around on BMX's? Give me a Volvo 850 T5 any day of the week. Anti-capitalism? What the hell is that all about? I'll work all day and then give my hard earned cash to those lazy bastards shall I? Yeah right!

I have to say that's the only thing I like about the Yanks, Money- makers.

I went and found the whole thing passionless and on the whole quite dull. Well done for getting something stefan. Wish I'd gone to Paris now

Stefan, so what are the details behind the photos.

What lens did you use?

What film?

Did you use a lot of hyperfocal focusing or did you take your time over the shots?

What was your angle, what where you trying to convey with the series of pictures you posted?

Great photos! I am sorry I missed the chance to join in the fun!

"did you take your time over the shots".......

.......does it look like it?

most of the photos were taken with a 40 rokkor-m on a m6, some with a recent elmar 50. i tried to focus properly, but often there was no time. film: tri-x in ID11 at iso 400, 11 minutes.

A few more snaps of Mayday in London, if you're still in the mood. Alas they're not all Leica.

Hello Stefan,

I like your selection of photos. I particularly enjoyed no. 2, bee. Nice bit of movement in it as well as a great expression in the face of the cyclist. Thnank´s for showing.

Best wishes
