Baseball-sized hail

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Country Families : One Thread

It didn't happen here, but in other parts of the state and in Ky. there was baseball-sized hail. Did anybody see this, and were you/yours hurt? The thought of hailstones that big falling from the sky is frightening. We had storms and were watching the radar but we didn't get anything like some of you did. Thank you Jesus.

That is scary! We got some marble sized hail and THAT was scary! We had very little effect from all the wind, though we've been under a tornado/severe storm watch three times in the last week or so-it grates on your nerves a bit after a while. The ground is soaked and we are over our rain average-but I'm not complaining-after years of drought I'm happy about that.

Hello, We're just starting into our hail and thunderstorm season. Last year in NW Montana we had hail the size of softballs, went right through roffs of homes. Tons of damage and several injuries, I don't think any were fatal. I couldn't live in Tornado alley, I'm to big a chicken :oD
