Leica M Lens to Srewmount Adaptor?

Is there an adapter which will allow the use of a Leica M lens mounted on a Leica Screwmount camera body?

FYI: The previous thread that was a duplicate of this one was deleted, but it had one answer in it by Dave Jenkins who said, "No."

Even if such an adapter existed (which it doesn't), the lens wouldn't focus properly. Remember that LTM (screwmount) lenses can be mounted on an M body with an adapter. That adapter has a standard thickness. The M lenses sit that thickness further from the film plane than LTM lenses. So unless you wrenched the mount off of an M lens and grafted an LTM mount on, the combo won't work. Incidently, many of the earliest M lenses were simply LTM lenses that had permanently mounted, factory LTM-to-M flanges on them.

I think that the DOOBC might be what you are looking for. There is one for sale thehahns@cornhusker.net), May 02, 2002.

What I was trying to say was that the item is listed here: http://www.camera-collectors.com/ShopSite/leica.html
