Back to the grass roots

It's been pretty noticable recently just how good the playing surface is at SJP right now. In comparison to others such as Goodison and the Reebok on TV tonight, our surface is fantastic, having (eventually) decided to resurface the whole pitch.

Has this attention to detail (neccessary that it was) paid dividends in us gaining points? It's no surprise that one of the other top surfaces in the PL is Highbury, again where good passing football is played.

If nothing else, its nice to see good football being played, allowing good passes on a true surface.

I thought the pitch looked superb too.

In scene@stjames the groundsman blamed its poor condition on not being bale to see dit last summer, and then turfing it and playing on it too quickly, on the lat entry to the Intertoto.

The unseasonably good weather in April can't have done any harm either.

Macbeth - can you check what's happening here? It's bad enough Greenspun going down but now we're getting stray posts from "Gardener's Question Time" for God's sake.

This place is a law'n to itself. It's all going to seed in my view, but I suspect I'll be turfed out for saying sow.
