i've had two cameras painted by shintaro -- he does an amazing job for the money ($400 each for a iiig and an m2). however, ken hansen has a guy in germany who charges more ($1000) and does an even better job. gets a really deep gloss and totally perfect with all the fine detail. if you go with shintaro, who really does a very fine job, i recommend you go with his most recent paint formulation, the one that rubs off a little easier. #1. a brassy camera looks more authentic and #2. it has a much deeper gloss. good luck -- it's a fun project and so cool when you open the box and look atthe freshly painted camera.
