The Weather

Don't know about where you live, but we sure could use some time without rain at least a week would be nice. Every 2 days or so, we get rain, up to inches at a time, some place in Ohio got 6 inces during one storm last week. Last night's storm was simply awful. I've never heard lightning crack so loudly. I thought maybe we were in for tornadoes, Ky got hit with those. I'd love to send some of this rain t where it's really needed. God bless us all with the weather we need.

Oh, Cindy I do wish you could send us some rain here in Colorado. We don't really know what rain is. We haven't had significant moisture for almost a year. Yes, without large resevoir storage and wells, we would be doomed. As you might have seen on the news, the mountains are terribly dry and there was a huge wildfire above Denver, threatening many homes. The snowpack in the mountains is less than 50% of normal. The runoff from the snowpack is what makes our rivers flow for use in municipal water and irrigation. I've never seen it this dry here in our area - NE Colorado since I was a little girl. Over 40 years.

Dearest Cindy-------we are finally getting some badly needed rain here where we are in Kansas!!!!!!!!!!!

Last night we had a "Cruse-In" with all types of cars & 50's music---- the band set up on a wagon-----the clouds turned dark & we all scrabled to get the bands equipment in where it was dry----

Good time was had by all /as we also enjoyed the rain!!!!! We still could use some more---ponds are still down--etc/etc/etc/etc/---

It has also been really cool here---I put our winter cloths away & got out the summer ones----last night we were looking for sweatshits!!!! ha!!

I sure wish you could send some rain this way, Cindy, the governor has declared an emergency for the whole state of New Mexico because of the drought here. No relief in sight. I am glad you are finally getting much needed rain, Sonda. We are praying for everyone who needs rain right now.

We got some snow here yesterday, enough to cover stuff. It only stayed for a few hours though, the snow changed to cold rain and melted it.

Hope you all get the weather you need.

In Cenrtral Maryland, it has rained off and on since Saturday, around midnight.

Rained mostly cats and a couple of dogs.

We were 12 inches below normal rainfall yesterday; Hopefully we will have made up 3 to 4 inches of it before it ends.

We just had a few light rains here the other day in southern California but we're still quite a bit below average. I'm concerned because once June comes, there typically isn't any rain until September or October. Last weekend we had several large brush fires in the area. I was a few miles from the closest one but we still had ashes raining down here. The temperatures have been quite erratic here lately, as it is around most of the US it seems. Tuesday it was pretty warm out and I got a heck of a sunburn at the beach in the afternoon. The next day it was in the 40s and raining.

Well, I'm with Cindy. Y'all can have our next rain. Gina, if you'd just told me, I could have sent several inches of rain along with the syrup. =o) We are innundated---can't get garden worked to plant; can't get into the fields to work; can't drive anywhere because it's mud, mud, mud. I'm not really complaining because we were several inches short of moisture this time last year but our crops are going to be late this year because of all the drying necessary before we can get into the fields. I guess the Lord felt we needed all this water for something. We just need to be patient now to find out why.
