Looking for Focometer II probe, any ideas?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Leica Photography : One Thread

I have a Focometer 2 that is missing the light reading probe. Leica says they don't have any more, can't get any more and are not able to get me the name of their OEM supplier who made them in the first place. It is a good timer without the probe but I would love to use it fully. Any ideas? Thanks, Seth

Sorry to bear bad news but I have been trying for years to get one also without success. If you are desperate, there is a complete new (old stock) Focometer 2 available in Australia for A$995 or about US$500. Dealer is Newdark Pty Ltd. Email contact:

sales@newdark.com.au

This one had a fault and was sent back to Leica for repair, but I am assured that it has never been used and i assume that it has the full warranty.
