PLEASE NO MORE useless "LEICA M7" posts

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Leica Photography : One Thread

Sure, some M7 posts have been useful to those interested in purchasing an M7, but posts like.....

......The camera the M7 should be........M7 is not what leica should'v made, etc......

.....are getting a little much. Oh, and the "Don't call the Summicron a "Summi".

What's going on with this forum? It used to be interesting.

Leica M7 experience reports and reviews are fine, but crying because Leica didn't listen to your needs is just too much. Initially, we all had a bit of a whinge, but it just keeps getting repeated.

So who am I to ask such a thing....someone who is asking such a thing.......to be flamed or not to be flamed?!

Stop patronizing, Those posting aren't any more interesting or boring than your or my rantings. By the way didn't you promise sometime ago that you were going to keep away, or am I mistaking you for somebody else. Take care and try to enjoy the actual photography !!

What people say and what people promise are two different things. And I only make promises to my fiance....sorry I didn't do what i said i would Sait, you aren't my type!

OK guys before the flaming starts I would like to add that I am not putting anyone down for making useless posts. I myself, as Sait said am guilty of making mistakes in the past.

All I am asking is that we all think and search before opening a post that is repetitous, and not really benficial to the majority of us. Repetitous posts are exactly that- repetitious and monotonous, and if I am the only one to stand up and say it so be it. But I am confident there are others silently agreeing with my point.

Kristian I agree! I admit I am new to the forum, but I think its full of biased info and somewhat strange conjecture especially about the M7. I have one, it works fine. If you don't like it, buy something else. End of story.

Um... so can't you just not read it if they bother you?

So far as calling a Summicron a "Summi", I'll call it a Rat's Patoot so long as I got a receipt showing that I paid for it. Someone else buys one for me, I'll call it by whatever name they give it.

b =-)

Let people post what they want(within reason)if you personally do not like it move on...no need to flame.

Allen's right!! - what someone might enjoy reading again could bore another to death!! - that's the way it is, so what?

Sure, some threads are more interested in some threads as apossed to others, but do we all need to act like parrots? It just clogs up the server with repetitious crap, that was really only useful the first time posting/reading.

-- Kristian (leicashot@hotmail.com), April 28, 2002.

Clog up the server!? You've got to be kidding! Hardisk space costs between one and two dollars a GIGABYTE. A typical thread takes up at most a few KILOBYTES.

For the mathematically disinclined, a kilobyte is a MILLIONTH of a gigabyte.
