Leicester have fined Robbie Savage two weeks' wages after he used the toilet in the referee's dressing room before Saturday's Premiership match with Aston Villa.

The Welshman apparently burst into the officials' quarters at Filbert Street to answer a call of nature ahead of the 2-2 draw, and the Foxes have taken action.

A Leicester spokesman confirmed: "Robbie Savage has been fined the maximum permissible two weeks' wages as a result of an incident which took place before Saturday's game with Aston Villa.

"Leicester City were made aware of the incident on Saturday evening by match referee Graham Poll and then conducted their own investigation. The club has spoken with Robbie Savage and communicated the decision to him."

The FA have confirmed that Graham Poll included the incident in his match report and he may face an FA charge. An FA spokesman said: "We have been made aware of an incident in the referee's room involving Robbie Savage. This is alleged to have happened before the game."

FA rules state that players cannot enter the referee's dressing room without permission and Savage could be charged with improper conduct.

Same ol' Savage - always creating a stink!

I tend to think, irrelevant to the nature of the offence or the evidence supplied, that it's a hanging offence when Savage is involved.

He obviously thought that being for the Ref's private usage, it was the Wa*kers Bowl.

What with this following on from the relegation, he can't be feeling too flushed with success right now. One thing's for sure, nobody will be asking to see the video evidence on this occasion ...

Did you hear how it happened?

Apparently Poll wasn't going to report it as he wasn't that bothered, but he got into an argument with Micky Adams after the game, and then said that he'd report it.

What an almighty great big tosser. He's like a little kid, loses an argument so brings up something from the past to get his revenge.
