I was wondering what is the best film to use with a minilux 40mm lens. Any advice will be appreciated. Thanks

With P&S cameras, I use Fuji superia 200 or NPH 400. The ASA 100 films are quite limiting indoors.

Whatever film you normally use will be fine with the Minilux.

The only limitation with the Minilux is the maximum shutter speed of 1/400. There isn't anything about either the lens or the flash that will limit the film you use. My wife generally uses ISO 100 print film (indoors or not, flash or not).

the advice about the 100 speed film is very good. use 400 and you will run into trouble on brite days. even if you don't actually overexpose, everything will be shot at diffraction ravaging apertures.

I use Kodak Portra 160VC (not the NC). The speed is a good compromise allowing photography in bright daylight with the Minilux's limited top shutter speed and yet allow a wide enough aperture to get some focus selectivity. It's also fast enough to give the flash some range indoors. Frankly, that's the only color neg film I shoot in 35mm.
