Match report - of a kind.

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Unofficial Newcastle United Football Club BBS : One Thread

Just got back - the 'joy' of living in the North West meant it was less than half an hour.

Grand scenes in Blackburn. Lots of singing and shouting. If we'd actually won the league I can't think we'd be celebrating any harder.

Topsy turvy game and to be honest those who watched it on the telly will have had a better sense of things. i felt we were always in the game and perhaps had a bit more quality - except in defence. Typical for Cole and Gillespie to score but then Al did it against his old team too.

No one outstanding for us but a good performance in an entertaining game. A bit nerve wracking to be honest. Plus Uriah Rennie had his usual vendetta against us which didn't help. it was a long 90 mins.

So we did it. Even though at times I felt we wouldn't. It was great being there to see the lads celebrate and be part of it. Brilliant.

Oh I finally met Screacher too! A thoroughly nice chap as well.

But what a smashing grin SHEARer CLASS

"A thoroughly nice chap as well."

Careful mind Lynda, a bit of a ladies man is our screacher! Especially now he looks all of 56! :-

Well Lynda, now you've met one of the nicer chaps from this BBS, why don't you call in the Straabeery on Satdy and meet one of the worst (before he goes back to Barcelona) ;-)
