alignment of 35/2 asph aperture ring

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Leica Photography : One Thread

Hello Guys

Has anyone noticed that the aperture numbers on the 35/2 asph does not align perfectly with the mark/index on the barrel? Mine is at least 1 mm off to the right, very annoying!! Does anyone know if it can be fixed easily?

I just checked mine for reference. The aperture numbers and the index mark (directly on top) seem pretty close to me. The aperture number most out of line is f/16. There the mark is closer to the 6.

try twisting the lens head, it might be threaded like some of the older leitz lenses, even if they were never intended to be used on a viso. it might be too tight or too loose, check it.

I don't know as I'd do that! Seems to me we've been told these lenses are glued together now. Twisting might cause problems that would make your present complaint seem trivial by comparison.
