I am a freak about having music in the car, especially since all I do is sing and dance while driving (just ask Jaimee). I've got to have the right tunes to suit my mood for a pleasurable driving experience, since I'm usually stuck in Tacoma traffic by myself, and I need some kind of fun outlet, right?

My question is: What are the top five CDs/tapes in your car that you're listening to right now? Or if you're more of a radio person, what do you think makes good car music?

I definitely need something I can sing along to. Sometimes the radio works, but I always have to change stations at commercial break, or it's a song that's not sing-along-able.

My favorite driving music is the second disk off of Ani DiFranco's Living in Clip CD. I like to kick things off with "Gravel," which really gets me in the mood.

I enjoy listening to country music. Sometimes I listen to the radio, but mostly CD's. I have several George Strait CD's that I listen to while waiting in traffic. My favorite CD's of his are: "The Road Less Traveled" and "Latest, Greatest, Straitest Hits." While listening to country music, I pretend that instead of sitting in traffic, I'm outside enjoying the sunshine on a ranch somewhere out in the country. It really makes the time go by faster.
