I believe they are multiregion, I have one and can play dvds from zones 1 and 4 without any problems.

I got one Toshiba SD2100 DVD at Singapore multizone OK ! however last week something went wrong, and lost the multizone capability - now reads only 0 or 3.

Any idea from someone how to reset it back to multizone ??
