Looking for M4 SN#1182045

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Leica Photography : One Thread

I bought this M4 in Germany in 1969, later traded it on an M5. I would like to reacquire this M4 for sentimental reasons. If you have this camera, please contact me, thanks. Bill Hart

The phrase-"snowballs chance in Hell" springs to mind?

Actually,I once read about a guy who lost his wedding ring 3 weeks after he got married,he spent the best part of 40 years looking for it (it was engraved, before you ask).Well,to cut a long story short,he never found it and died sad and bitter.

But hey, let's look on the bright side shall we,Bill's camera could be out there somewhere........I doubt he will ever see it again, but we know it's out there...........somewhere,anywhere.

And if you have a wedding ring that has 'all my love June 12 1944'engraved on the inside then it's not yours.

Phil....I may never see my old beloved camera again, but I sure got a chuckle out of the wedding ring story...if I find the ring, who do I call? Bill
