Just a simple question here guys, I was checking out a used Nikon DW-30 waistfinder for a F5 and I noticed that there there isn't a glass on the bottom of the finder like there is on the regular DP-30 finder. Is there suppose to be a glass there? I would guess not as it really wouldn't serve a purpose but I just want to make sure. Thanks in advance.

No, there's no glass apart from a magnifier in a waist-level finder. It's just a flip-up hood to shield the screen from extraneous light, and a hinged magnifier.
The glass in the DP30 is the bottom of the pentaprism.
