Sporting life have a story saying Hoddle thinks Shearer should come out of retirement to play for England in the World Cup. He's quoted as saying he doesn't know what Shearer's answer would be, but if he were England manager he'd 'move heaven and earth' to get Shearer back.

Nice tribute from Glenda. Al's strike yesterday was superb, first timer straight in - a beauty. It's a shame isn't it that when Bellamy hares past the last defender we can't call a timeout and substitute Al for Craig to complete the move? I think we'd have won the title in February! :-)

I must admit Owen playing a Bellamy tole alongside Shearer could murder some very good world sides. However, I hope he stays at home and watches on the telly.
