i put my like new black summilux 1.4/35mm ASPH onto ebay. i think the price should be attractive. it is still on a 1 1/2 year UK passport. i might accept a summicron 4th version + compensation for it.SUMMILUX

Stefan, Why would you want to get a slower less sharp lens? Thats unless you R attracted by the small dimensions of the 4th version chron?

Less sharp is a relative term here surely. The pre-Asph 35's can still beat most others. Its not like we're comparing a lens with a Cola bottle here - keep things in proportion.

Hi stefan: I am with you. I had the same motive too.

I own a 35mm 'lux 1.4 and bought a new 35mm ASPH 'lux f/1.4. difference I gathered, pre-ASPH, compact, ASPH= Sharper at 1.4 >. You can read many reports, but the best 35mm lens in my opinion (minus the bulkiness) is the 35mm asph 'lux. Think again.
