greenspun.com : LUSENET : Leica Photography : One Thread

I purchassed two of these (cat #30697) when Leica discontinued them three years ago. This one has never been used and the warranty card is blank $475. I also have several boxes of unused Leica brand LKM 2x80 trays (cat #37980) $20/box. Amauri Nunes 714 401-0385 PST

Hmmm, Pradovit P2000. Does this use the 80-slide carousel magazine? Or the straight tray?

It uses straight trays (both "common" trays and also Leitz LKM 2x60 and 2x80 trays). For example LKM 2x80 has same dimensions as common 2x50 tray (LKM only for slides without glass frames). Jari

Here is some basic info I've collected on the different Leica models.

C1500 (manual focus) and CA1500 (auto focus)= 150w bulb only. C2500 (manual focus) and CA2500 (auto focus)= 150w or 250w bulbs and a quick change feature that pre-staged the next slide. These projectors take only the straight Euro trays and *not* the Leica Locking straight trays, so you have to watch out because you can dump all the slides out of the non-locking trays easily.

P2000= Auto focus, 110-240V adjustable, 24v 250w bulb, accepts the new Leica locking LKM trays & the old ones, good cooling system, this was the last Leica made projector. P2002= Same as P2002 with the addition of a second bulb that would auto switch if the first one burned out.

RT300= Made only for US market by Singer, not supported for parts or service by Leica.

(P150 (current)= entry level projector, takes straight trays (including locking), has only 150w bulb.

(P300 (current, not officially imported to USA)= heavier-duty 250w version of P150. Needs 220-110 transformer and USA cord.

RT-s (current): Made for Leica by Kinderman of Germany based on their top-end unit. Takes carousel trays. RT-m (current): Same as RT-s but has circuitry for computer- controlled multi-projector multimedia shows.

This info is based on what I've read and some personal experience.
