Pirelli tower. Small plane.

Small private plane, had radioed it had engine problems. Top floors of 30-storey building on fire - a lot of casualties anticipated.

Jeezus! I just about had heart failure seeing that thread title! :-(

RAI are claiming the plane had radioed an SOS reporting engine trouble just before the crash. Still horrific even if an accident, but I pray to God it's not another terrorist attack.

The Communication Age:-

NEW YORK (Reuters) - U.S. stocks tumbled to session lows, then stabilised, in late morning trade after a small tourist plane hit a skyscraper in central Milan.

Looking very like an accident at the moment. Now is not the time to say anything about Italian drivers...

LOL, Steve. According to CNN, it was an Italian senator who immediately started shouting that it was a terrorist. Sure, it might be the first thing anyone thinks these days, but not a good idea for a public offical to go around saying it until there's confirmation. Tosserino!
