ITV DIGITAL TO MAKE NO COMPROMISE OFFER

ITV Digital granted stay of execution

Administrators of financially crippled broadcaster ITV Digital have decided against making a formal compromise offer to the Football League. ITV Digital and the league are locked in a multi-million pound dispute over ITV Digital's contract to broadcast matches involving England's lower division clubs. ITV Digital cannot afford to meet its payments under the contract and wants the league to accept a deep price cut. But, in a short statement, the administrators said a lack of progress in the dispute had "dissuaded" some other suppliers from seriously engaging in restructuring talks. "The shareholders are re-evaluating the business plan and therefore no formal offer has been made to the Football League." Administrators say they plan to put ITV Digital up for sale if they fail to strike a deal with the league by the end of this week. If no buyer emerges, it could be wound up.

The way this is going I'll have to get Sky in.

It was never gonna work was it....sky was already fairly entrenched when they started and to insist that people would have to have extra kit just made it unworkable....they should've come up with a different/easier way of delivering the service and then they might have been able to challenge the dominance of sky....

Someone should be shot for ever starting it....
