I started by taking a piano pedagogy workshop with Blanche Abram at Hofstra University. this was a great overview of the subject and put me firmly on the journey.

I also recommend the old classic "How to Teach Piano Successfully by Bastien alsthough it is quite dated.

Another tome is Teaching Piano by Denes Agay

But my absolute favorite course is Music Makers at the Keyboard which has a fabulour 2 day workshop that is taught all over the country. The authors are there to show you the program. I only use this program after 25 years of teaching private beginning piano. I now teach24 beginners in three group piano classes and I am making more of a difference in my teaching than I ever have before.
