Need Your Thoughts and Suggestions

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Cooking & Crafts : One Thread

The forum is now approaching it's 3rd month anniversary. Hard to believe it has only been 3 months and we have so much information already! Your contributions and helps have been very much appreciated by all. I have already learned so much and feel like I have lots of new friends here!

From time to time, I want to just touch base to get your feelings on the forum. Is there anything you don't like and would like to have taken off? Anything we don't have you would like to see added? Any suggestions or thoughts? Anything annoying about the forum? Or do you just want things left the way they are?

This is not "my" forum. It belongs to all of us and we have been VERY successful in a very short amount of time. To keep it that way, I need to stay on top of things to keep it interesting. You won't hurt my feelings if there is something you don't like or want changed, so don't hesitate to speak up and be heard!

By the way, the more input we get here the better. We all benefit from each other so be sure and tell all your friends about the forum!

I'm happy with it the way it is, too.

It's just great the way it is. I don't post much on here since I don't have much to offer. I don't sew unfortunately, and can't seem to find time anymore for crafts, but do enjoy reading about it. I copy a lot of the cooking information which I find very useful.

I wouldn't change a thing! I think we have all hit on a really good thing.

Things I think would be nice, since we are comeing into state fair season, I know there has to be lady's who enter. How about some of your prize winning recipes. Also canning is comeing up, Those recipes would be nice too. This forum is very imformative. And I wouldn"t change a thing.

Dittos to all of the above. I really, really like it here. I can't tell you how many times I've used the information that all of you have contributed.
We all have helped cultivate this wonderful garden...but Karen you are the "Master Gardener", thanks again everyone.

You mean this forum is only THREE MONTHS OLD??? Amazing! I don't feel so bad now, here I though you had been here for quite a while and I was just too dumb to find you! I like it just like it is. Thanks for all of the tips and input. LQ

I also think it's great.

Like Irene, I would like to see canning and freezing ideas - I'm hoping for a big garden this summer, and could sure use some good SALSA recipes!

I wish I had more to contribute, but it also seems like I'm pressed for time, and you all have such better ideas! Maybe because I'm just getting back into the sewing/crafting/canning arena. Maybe by next year I'LL be up to entering the fairs!

On the cooking side, I'd like to see more recipes that use commonly available veggies, especially carrots, potatoes, broccoli, cauliflower (the casserole recipe is *delicious*), celery, and all the other things that can be found all winter long and that we are heartily tired of long before the gardens come in.

I'm still looking for on-line sources of lightweight cotton-poly shirt fabric . . .

Thanks for all your hard work, Karen!

I love this site! I wouldn't change a thing. It would be nice if others would share more recipes. Anyone have any recipes for salads? Always looking for something new as we get tired of the old standbys like potato salad and macaroni salad.

Dear Karen. Thank you for a consistently interesting and informative forum. I love cooking and homemaking, and it's delightful that you continue to come up with great suggestions. One idea is for more input from those who have experience in economically decorating and/or renovating their living space. I'm on a tiny budget and would appreciate their solutions. Keep up the great work! Stef
